About the release

The 12.4.0 release is the tenth of our twelve monthly releases planned for 2023. Please see below for the highlights, along with the full list of fixes and improvements. As always, we look forward to your feedback as we continue to improve the product every single month.

Microsoft 365 Integration

The Microsoft 365 Integration rollout is nearly complete. The integration will be available to all Datto RMM users by Tuesday, October 3, during Kaseya DattoCon. To learn the integration setup process and how you can access Microsoft 365 data and user management actions straight from the left navigation menu in Datto RMM, refer to Microsoft 365 Integration.

myITprocess reports

myITprocess is a powerful software designed to help MSPs build clients' strategic roadmaps and create a high-value vCIO process. When both modules are connected to KaseyaOne, Datto RMM reporting data can be accessed directly from myITprocess, providing a seamless way of showing the value of services delivered. The data available matches the Executive Summary report overview page, with key data such as Patch Management scores, Software Management scores, antivirus scores, and more.

Datto EDR license management changes

Datto EDR license management is moving to the Datto EDR portal. This simplifies the process of understanding the licenses you have, whether devices are installed and managed from Datto RMM or installed separately. No changes are required for those already integrated with Datto EDR, but be aware that Datto RMM will no longer display license counts or the trial status of Datto EDR protected devices. Refer to Get started with Datto EDR and Datto AV, the Endpoint Security card, and the Datto EDR widget.

Additions to the ComStore

We release new ComStore components and update existing ones every month. Notable additions this month include the following:

Splashtop Uninstaller: Improved support for removing the Software Updater.

New ComStore integrations

Conceal: New ConcealBrowse component for the ComStore.
WithSecure: The F-Secure components have been rebranded to WithSecure.
Bitdefender: Bitdefender deployment is no longer achieved using the Bitdefender GravityZone - Deployment component. New deployments are expected to use the Bitdefender GravityZone Endpoint Management [Datto Companion APP] component, which requires a new setup procedure.
Huntress: New install component.

Updates since the last release

Jobs

Fix	Jobs and reports scheduled for a monthly recurrence now respect the account time zone when offset from UTC.

New UI

Fix	The n key shortcut to completely hide or unhide the left navigation menu has been removed. Refer to Keyboard shortcuts and Using the left navigation menu.

Reports

Fix	Export reports have been optimized and will now generate a successful email with a blank CSV file when export report targets contain zero devices. These changes are part of our efforts to build more resilience into reporting.
