IMPORTANT  This is a full platform AND Agent release, therefore, partners should expect very brief disconnects of the Agent during the update window.

About the release

The 8.5.0 release is the seventh update for Datto RMM in 2020. Along with numerous fixes and improvements, some of the highlights are as follows:

Changes to Agent Update Settings

With the 8.5.0 release, we are removing the ability to disable Automatic Agent Updates. This ensures all devices are running the latest Agent software for security and stability purposes.

IMPORTANT  Any existing configuration to disable Automatic Agent Updates under Account > Settings > Update Agent Settings will be overridden. All Agents will update to the latest software as part of the 8.5.0 deployment.

Fix RMM-3020 We fixed an issue where the Alerts by Priority widget in the New UI BETA would not respect filter settings for create date.
Fix RMM-3746 We fixed an issue where the search bar in the New UI BETA would become inaccessible if there was a large amount of results.
Fix RMM-4344 We fixed an issue where Service Monitor descriptions in the New UI BETA displayed the startup delay in seconds instead of minutes.

Web Remote BETA

Datto Continuity Integration

Fix RMM-3869 We fixed an issue where attempts to delete devices in the New UI BETA did not acknowledge attempts to delete Datto Continuity or Datto Networking devices. Refer to Move or delete Datto Continuity devices.

Autotask PSA Integration

Fix RMM-3968 We fixed an issue where the Windows username was used instead of the Datto RMM username when adding a note to an Autotask PSA ticket from the Agent Browser.
